На автосалоне IAA в Мюнхене Volkswagen представил свою самую доступную модель среди электрических кроссоверов — ID.CROSS. Интерьер ID.CROSS сочетает минимализм и технологичность. Салон выполнен с использованием тканевой отделки, перед водителем размещён цифровой приборный щиток, а центральное место занимает 13-дюймовый сенсорный экран мультимедийной системы. Между передними сиденьями установлена двухуровневая консоль. Для перевозки багажа предусмотрено два отделения: задний отсек объёмом 450 литров и дополнительный передний багажник на 25 литров.

Под капотом располагается электродвигатель мощностью 211 л.с., который приводит переднюю ось. Максимальная скорость достигает 175 км/ч. Хотя точная ёмкость батареи пока не раскрыта, производитель заявил, что запас хода составит около 420 км на одной зарядке.
